Betas & Bowties: All-You-Can-Eat-Pasta Dinner

Since emotional health and suicide had affected many members of Beta Theta Pi fraternity at Central Michigan University, it was unanimously agreed upon that the proceeds of their 2017 event would go to JED.

The event, an all-you-can-eat pasta dinner called Betas & Bowties, was held at the fraternity chapter’s house and they encouraged students from all over campus to attend. Tickets were $4 in advance or $5 at the door.

Whether it was the cause or the reasonable price of admission, the turnout was huge! Betas & Bowties raised over $3,200, bringing people together to share a meal and start conversations about mental health.

The brothers of Beta were very pleased with the positive response and we are so grateful to them for choosing to support JED’s work in this way!
