Dig Deep: Volleyball Tournament

An event hosted by Johns Hopkins Women’s Volleyball Team, Dig Deep, rallies participants to battle it out on the volleyball court to raise money and awareness for JED.

Dig Deep 2017:

15 teams and 150 students gathered at the tournament to learn more about JED’s mission and openly discuss issues like suicide and mental health.

To publicize the event, the team posted on social media often tagging @johnshopkins and using the hashtag they created, #hopkinsdigdeep. They reached out to other groups on campus for support and many of the University’s graduate schools helped spread the word via their social media handles and email list outreach.

The team raised $1,500 and was so pleased with the turnout that they are planning to make the tournament an annual event in support of JED.

We are so grateful to these incredible women!

Dig Deep 2018:

The Johns Hopkins Women’s Volleyball team hosted their 3rd annual volleyball tournament, Dig Deep, to benefit JED. At the tournament, 150 students, athletes, administrators, and coaches gathered to raise money for JED, learn about JHU mental health resources, and play a day of fun volleyball! The event raised $1600 for JED this year, and can’t wait to raise the goal for Dig Deep 2019! Check out the photos on their Facebook page.
