How College Students Are Coping During the Pandemic: Why Tracking Mental Health Data Is Important

Colleges and universities that participate in the Healthy Minds Study (HMS) are dedicated to understanding and addressing issues related to student mental health through scientifically rigorous research, with the ultimate goal of using student mental health data to inform policy and practice on their campus. With this in mind, schools that participate in the JED Campus program participate in HMS two times over the four-year program, and partner with JED to develop systems, programs, and policies that are built upon research and existing student mental health, substance use, and suicide prevention efforts.
