When sharing messages about mental health issues and suicide, it’s vital to do so in a safe and effective way. Media reporting on these issues can either encourage or discourage people from seeking help, and it can even influence suicide contagion. - JED’s Naming Convention: Please note that JED’s naming convention is to write “The Jed Foundation (JED)” (case sensitive) the first time the organization is referenced in a piece, and write “JED” (capitalizing J, E and D) for each subsequent mention.
