Make It Your Own: Fundraising Ideas
I know plenty of young friends, family, and others, including myself, who have in the past or are currently struggling with their mental health and suicidal ideation. When I first learned about JED, I was amazed by all of the free resources available to those who may need them. It inspired my brothers and me, as well as my brothers of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at Purdue, to put our philanthropic efforts toward supporting JED and raising awareness for the services available to all students.
We choose JED because of its focus on strengthening systems, culture, and programs at schools to provide direct change into students' lives. Because the Walk-A-Thon was in memory of my friend William Tyler Godfrey, who was a student at USC, I looked for a foundation that prioritized people his age.
