Intern at JED
If you’re an undergraduate or graduate student passionate about mental health and suicide prevention, interested in learning more about the nonprofit field, and want to work collaboratively with a team dedicated to building communities of care, a summer internship with The Jed Foundation (JED) might be the right fit for you!
Overview

The Jed Foundation’s Summer Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students from different academic tracks and diverse backgrounds the opportunity to explore all aspects of the nonprofit sector with a full-time, paid internship. This 10-week opportunity can satisfy academic requirements through integrated coursework or the receipt of academic credit.
I couldn’t recommend this internship program more. I got to do hands-on analysis with real-world data that has culminated in the foundation for my master’s thesis and an exciting collaboration after the internship. The team is so supportive, knowledgeable, and invested in the development of the interns. – Jasminder Bains, 2022 Intern
Types of Internships
Interns support specific departments that match their areas of study and/or professional curiosity, and those range from Government Affairs and Advocacy to Media Relations, from Higher Education Programs to Marketing Campaigns. However, all participants gain exposure to a complete overview of the organization through virtual social events, professional development sessions, and meet-and-greets with JED staff. Interns collaborate remotely within their internship cohort and with the greater JED team, building bridges as they advance in their career development.
I was able to meet and work with many interesting, intelligent, and kind-hearted professionals—all connected by their common passion in protecting mental health for teens and young adults. – Nicholas Cinnamo, 2022 Intern

I am forever grateful for the community of mentors and friends that I gained over the summer, as well as the hands-on experiences that I will carry with me in my future career.– Ella Dennis, 2022 Intern
