Mobilizing Communities

The Jed Foundation (JED) brings together people and organizations who share a commitment to youth mental health, from parents to peers to campuses, companies, and policymakers. We work across communities, sectors, and systems to strengthen mental health support for young people — and invite others to join us.

Policy, Advocacy, and Government Relations

JED champions a nonpartisan policy agenda to promote youth mental health and prevent suicide, including expanding access to mental health services and helping states and systems adopt effective suicide prevention practices. JED also advises on policy development and implementation, helping to ensure that the needs of young people remain at the center of mental health and suicide prevention strategies across education, health, and digital platforms.

What People Are Saying

The connections and memories that are made during your time as a fellow are invaluable. Being a fellow definitely encourages you to want to learn more and be more involved in the conversations around mental health.

— Jaden Brown, YAC Intern

Partnerships & Programs

JED partners with state leaders and education systems–including through our collaboration with the State Higher Education Executive Officers Association (SHEEO) – to build mental health infrastructure across systems. At the national level, we co-lead the Youth Advocacy Council (YAC) with Young Invincibles, bringing youth voice directly into the policymaking process.

Raising Awareness and Funds for Youth Mental Health

Fundraise for JED

Everyone has a role to play in youth mental health. JED provides the tools and support to help people and groups fundraise in ways that are personal and powerful – whether that means hosting an event, celebrating a milestone, or honoring a loved one.

Neon Nights

Designed by students for students, Neon Nights invites campuses nationwide to come together and begin life-saving conversations, raise essential funds, and have fun. We offer students a step-by-step guide to organize a campus-wide parade that shines a light on mental health and culminates in the ultimate dance party celebrating emotional well-being.

Corporate Partners

JED’s corporate partners fuel nationwide impact. Through strategic funding, in-kind support, matching gift programs, and employee engagement opportunities, these partnerships help us reach more young people with the tools, resources, and community of care they need to thrive. Together, we create a culture that values emotional wellbeing.

What People Are Saying

Our chapter chose to fundraise for JED because we believe in supporting mental health and ensuring that no one feels alone in their struggles. It's about showing up for each other and creating a community of care, and that is what we strive for as not only a chapter but as a family of sisterhood!
