JED is a nonprofit that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults. More than 9,000 high schools, colleges, and universities have strengthened their mental health safety nets for students by using JED resources. Nearly 350 colleges and universities representing 4.5 million students are JED Campuses—schools that partner with JED to strengthen their programming and systems related to suicide prevention, mental health, and substance misuse prevention.
This year, JED further expanded its reach with the launch of JED High School and JED Campus Fundamentals. Additionally, JED will launch Proud & Thriving, a collaboration focused on helping schools integrate comprehensive frameworks and recommendations to protect and support the mental health of LGBTQ+ students. JED is intentional about taking a nuanced, data-informed approach to addressing the mental health needs of young people from diverse communities.
