Just Press Pause: Conversation Cards

Who would you lean on if you were going through a tough time? Who would turn to you if they needed support? Conversation Cards is a fun way to laugh and learn more about our friends, partner or family members. It’s also a great way to learn more about supporting each other’s mental health.

So, grab a member of your support network, find a quiet place to play, and use the cards below to get started. There are two types of cards you can click to reveal below.

Quiz Cards are fun questions you ask the other player about yourself. Both of you write your answers on a dry erase board, index card or a notepad, and then reveal to see if it’s a match. Question Cards are about emotional health and how we take care of ourselves and each other. Draw a card and ask the other player the question to answer, and then follow-up by answering the question for yourself.

We suggest each player alternate drawing a couple of Quiz Cards then each flipping a Question Card. Continue this for a couple of rounds and see where the conversation takes you! Check out the video above to see the game in action.
